Jennifer Marsden of the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) attended a recent Autism Partnership Board in Sheffield.
Jennifer said that the DWP want to reach out to groups in each regional area. For us that would be in the Northern Region. She was asking if anyone within the Board, or the wider membership of associations, societies, organisations, etc. would be interested in opportunities to be part of our Regional Stakeholder Network, to represent disabled people’s views and work with others in our area and with government.
They are looking for both chair positions and member positions. Members will not be paid, however travel expenses with receipts will be paid to attend the annual Network meeting. The information can be found in the following link:
