Sheffield Autistic Society have received the following information from The Source Skills Academy:
“We have a free 5 week retail programme for young people aged 16 to 30 based at Meadowhall starting Mon 3rd Sept. (See flyer here.) We have 15 places and would be grateful if you could promote this opportunity to those young (unemployed) people that might be interested.
It has been very successful in previous years with around 75% securing work. It is funded by British Land (so can run alongside ESF / other funded programmes).
I have attached a leaflet but here’s some more information:
· 5 weeks full time (Mon to Fri)
· For unemployed people with a good standard of written and spoken English, aged 16 to 30 who can commit
· Delivered at The Source (across from Meadowhall)
· Includes qualifications in retail, health and safety and customer service
· Includes 8 days (unpaid) work placement in Meadowhall (retail, hospitality or customer services)
· Travel and some lunch expenses paid
· Increase work skills and experience, improve CV, gain more confidence and work readiness
· 6 months follow-up support and help securing employment
We have a taster session on Wed 29th August at The Source at 10.30.”
